THE CLIENT

Created in 2017, Lifelong Enrichment for Companion Animals (LECA) was created with the goal of providing pets (dogs in particular) with the skills that help shape the physical, emotional, social and instinctive aspect of their lives. Basically they take care of your dogs for you. They don’t just keep them in a house filled with other dogs who also have busy owners. But, by following a lifelong enrichment curriculum, they provide them with the necessary skills that would help cater for their instinctive wellbeing.

PROBLEM & BRIEF

LECA was created with the aim of filling the gap between what your dogs need and what you can realistically provide based on your work-family lifestyle. The folks at LECA believe that every pet is capable of something great, their aim is just to help them reach their full potential.

So when they asked to design a logo that reflects trustworthiness and reliability while also giving the idea of action and movement, I knew exactly what to do.

DESIGN PROCESS

I combined a premium mark and a bold italic logotype. This was done to portray the idea of a modern academy. I designed the Letter (L) as distinctive mark. The L) is a combination between a dog paw and a book, that merge together and create a positive and negative game. I chose this to symbolise LECA's concern for dog education. The bright red colour was chosen as the main colour to the brand identity to symbolise the idea of action and movement. The bluish grey color used in the typography was used to give a sense of reliability.

Stationery: business card, envelope, welcome letter.
